Gifting Children with Faith and Values in the Complexities of Modern Life: Perspectives of a Pediatrician Dr. Pauline C. Pappas M.D. Dr. Pappas is a native of Quincy, Massachusetts, having grown up in the parish of Saint Catherine. In her over 14 years of private practice, she has served on numerous boards, including as president of the New England Hellenic Medical and Dental Society, revitalizing the student scholarship program there. A recipient of many awards, she most recently was honored with the Boston University Alumni Association Award along with the Blue Cross Blue Shield Excellence in Primary Care Award. She currently resides in Squantum with her husband, Dr. George Theodore, and their two children, Harry and Maria. They are members of both the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Boston, and Saint Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in Braintree. Her presentation will focus on sharing her experience as an Orthodox Christian parent and pediatrician and what she sees far too frequently in her practice which is contrary to general Christian values and how she believes that our Orthodox faith and values are so very needed by today’s youth for healthy living. |
